Beach comes to Birmingham

Birmingham Beach Come to the bmibaby beach and enjoy the Tropical Islanders, the world renowned steel band and see the England Beach Soccer Team in action. Relax in the luscious surroundings filled with award winning authentic tropical plants, real banana trees, eight foot palms plus children playing in the sand.

The official opening will be carried out by The Lord Mayor, Councillor Randal Brew and the sponsor David Hodge, Marketing Director from bmibaby cutting the ribbon at 12 o’clock. There will be speeches by the sponsors bmibaby and in attendance will be council dignitaries.

Following the formal opening there will be a choreographed routine by the England Soccer Football Team. All the activities will be relayed onto the BBC Screen.

The beach is open from 11am – 7pm daily, fully funded by the sponsor’s bmibaby. It provides a great family friendly location and a retreat for workers to relax, plus free Wi Fi connectivity and an entertainment venue for the city of Birmingham.

There is an exciting programme of events lasting all through the summer designed to entertain young and old, families and friends. Highlights include watching Wimbledon on the BBC Screen and an opportunity to test your skills with the England Beach Soccer team and a comedy stage during Artsfest in September.
