KLM’s mobile check-in now possible anywhere in Europe

3rd December 2007 Print
Following in the footsteps of Air France, KLM expands the range of its own check-in service using mobile phones. On September 4, passengers traveling alone to Amsterdam from any European KLM destination (or vice versa) can check in by using their mobile phone.

The service allowing you to check in via Klm.com has been specially designed for mobile phones with Internet access and has been optimized for high-resolution mobile phone screens. Enter your e-ticket or booking code and your flight number, and your details will appear on the screen. You can then check your assigned seat – which, of course, you can also change if you like. You may then opt to receive a free text message with all your check-in details as a handy reference for later on. To collect your boarding pass, simply go to the check-in machines or the baggage drop-off points at the airport.

Starting in September, KLM will also be offering the possibility of subscribing to a text message service via ‘My booking’ at Klm.com. Once you have subscribed, you will automatically receive a text message every time you have not yet checked in for your KLM flight. This personalized service will save you time as it gives you direct access to mobile check-in.

It couldn’t be easier! Now you really can check in for your flight anywhere, anytime.

In the future, it will also be possible to receive your boarding pass with a barcode on your mobile phone. You can then use this barcode to board, so you will no longer need a printed boarding pass.
