Enjoy a fashionable winter short break at the contemporary boutique Londa hotel on the shores of the Mediterranean in Limassol. This modern Italian designed hotel with its stunning views, über-cool interior and bespoke service culture is offering a special package for travellers to escape the winter gloom.

Winter attractions include Valentine’s Day when the Londa creates a romantic menu and covers rooms and suites in rose petals. Or visit the Limassol Carnival that takes place every year in the spring, this year starting on 19 February, and lasts for 10 days with parties, parades and music.

The carnival celebrations in Limassol date back hundreds of years, originating from Greek mythology and the Dionysiac festivals. Streets where festivities take place are elaborately decorated, particularly around the Medieval Castle in the centre.

A winter season short break at the Londa Hotel (three nights) costs € 650 (£590) for two people (or €325/£295 per head). The package includes three night’s accommodation including breakfast, one aromatherapy back massage per person and private taxi transfers to and from the airport in Cyprus. On arrival couples will be greeted with a welcome drink on the Caprice bar terrace overlooking the Mediterranean making the most of the early warm weather that characterises Cyprus at this time of year. Price relevant up to 31 March 2009.

Flights are not included. Cyprus Airways fly daily from Heathrow to Larnaca and is offering special return flights from £189 (inc. taxes) for this period. See Cyprusairways.com for more details.

The Londa’s cool sleek design and exceptional service credentials has resulted in two recent travel industry awards*. Located on the beach a short distance from the stylish boutiques, restaurants and plethora of culture that Limassol offers, Cyprus’s second city is often referred to as a “mini Miami”.

Each of the Londa’s 68 rooms and suites spread across seven floors is slightly different and boast either panoramic sea views or outlooks over the town of Limassol. All rooms have five star facilities including Nespresso coffee machines, luxury Molton Brown cosmetics, high speed internet access and cordless phone.
