Business Traveller magazine pays tribute to Air France

8th February 2008 Print
Air France has received two awards from the Business Traveller specialist magazine (UK and German editions) in recognition of its outstanding quality white wines served in its l’Espace Affaires cabins along with its top-rated menus on flights to the Americas.

In London, Air France won the “Best Business Class White” prize in the “Cellars in the Skies 2007” competition, which is organized each year to compensate the best wines served on board airlines.

The Domaine de Cigalus de 2005 was singled out in a blind tasting session held by a panel of experts. Gérard Bertrand’s Languedoc White wine was selected by Olivier Poussier, elected the world’s best wine and beverage consultant in 2000, in charge of the wines and champagne list on board Air France flights.

The Air France cellar, which is constantly enhanced, is an invitation for customers to sample a wide selection of wines, including both classic vintages and a number of wines “to discover” recognized as among the best. This distinction reflects Air France’s determination to promote French wine-growing regions to its international clientele.

In Frankfurt, the German edition of the magazine has presented Air France with the “Business Traveller Award”, recognizing it as the best airline in the category “In-flight meal service on board flights to North and South America”. These special honours were presented after conducting a survey among readers of this publication dedicated to frequent business travellers.
