Travel the Dominican Republic in style

The Dominican Republic is shrugging off its ‘poor man’s Caribbean’ image. Previously associated with mass market tourism and low-budget package holidays, in recent years much has changed to counter this impression.

Numerous luxury resorts have opened, particularly in and around Punta Cana to the east of the island, transforming the accommodation choices available with long-haul specialist tour operator, Tropical Sky.

What’s more, British Airways is offering a new direct twice-weekly scheduled service from London Gatwick to Punta Cana from 26 October 2009 with flights on Monday and Thursday. The arrival of BA opens the Dominican Republic to a whole new set of travellers attracted by its new luxury facilities and diverse experiences.

Book with Tropical Sky and discover the Dominican Republic’s treasures in style including a plethora of UNESCO World Heritage sites, award-winning championship golf courses, blue flag beaches, rolling dunes, mangrove swamps and an incredible biodiversity both on land in the National Parks and in the water where humpback whales come to breed.

Accommodation options include:
