The Grenada Board of Tourism has doubled its travel trade sales team in the UK & Ireland following the appointment of Suzanne Mason as their second Sales Manager. Suzanne moves to the UK from Grenada where she was marketing officer with the Grenada Board of Tourism.

In her new role Suzanne will be responsible for promoting Grenada and its sister islands, Carriacou and Petite Martinique to the travel trade by co-ordinating sales support and training programmes for agents and tour operators outside of London and the home counties.

Her role will also include developing niche markets such as diving, weddings and honeymoons and the cruise market. Suzanne joins fellow Grenadian Gillian Sodah, Sales Manager, London and the Home Counties.

According to the Grenada Board of Tourism’s UK & Ireland General Manager, Alison Cryer: “Having worked in a management role for the Board of Tourism for nine years, Suzanne will be an invaluable new addition to the team. She brings to her new role a wealth of product knowledge and an in-depth understanding of the travel industry.”

Suzanne Mason added: “I am delighted to be back in the UK market having previously worked here in the airline industry. I look forward to renewing my contacts and increasing visitor numbers to Grenada, in particular in view of the new twice weekly year round service from British Airways.”

The appointment comes as BA announced that they are increasing their direct access to the island of Grenada for the first time to two flights per week year round from London Gatwick Airport to Maurice Bishop International Airport.
