Gordon and Pamela Shelley are living the dream in Cornwall thanks to part-exchange from Redrow.

The couple, who previously lived in Northamptonshire, were regular visitors to Cornwall and had planned to settle in the area.

“We were looking at new homes in Liskeard, Bodmin and Tavistock and came across Stourscombe Vale in Launceston because we have family nearby,” Gordon explained.

“We continued to look around other places but after seeing the ‘Ribble’ show home at Stourscombe Vale we were comparing everything against it. Price for price the ‘Ribble’ offered the best value and a very high specification.”

Delighted at having found their dream home, the couple feared they would be held back from moving as they were yet to find a buyer for their old home.

“Redrow offered to part-exchange our old home and sent round local estate agents to assess its value. The deal we were offered was better than we expected and we didn’t have to worry about finding a buyer for our existing home,” Gordon said.

The couple were so enamoured with the show home that they even bought some of the furniture.

“We got lots of information and were kept up to date and informed by Redrow. I have never known customer service like it. Joel Anderson the site manager was phenomenal,” Gordon commented.

“Everything just fell into place. We were able to move in quickly and it was a seamless move.”

Their previous home was also a new-build as Gordon, 56, and Pamela, 49, felt comforted by the 10-year ‘Buildmark’ guarantee that new properties enjoy.

Friends and family have already visited the couple in their new home and they too are impressed by the quality of the property.

“I’ve taken them down to the latest show home and some are tempted,” Gordon said.

Their four-bedroom ‘Ribble’ style home is designed over three floors with the master bedroom and en-suite in the converted roof space. It also boasts a double garage.

Hannah Newnes, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West), said: “Part-exchange is perfect for those who want to move quickly as it takes away the hassle of finding a buyer for your old home. You’ll have no estate agent’s fees to pay, won’t need to organise a Home Information Pack and there’s no housing chain to potentially hold things up.”

Stourscombe Vale is now in its final phase with fewer than 20 homes remaining. With two, three and four-bedroom homes available there is something to meet the needs of almost every kind of buyer.

With potential for picture postcard views across to Dartmoor, Stourscombe Vale offers an idyllic retreat from the hustle and bustle of city living, yet is conveniently placed close to the A30, giving residents easy access to Exeter, Plymouth and Truro.
