Family Outdoor Holidays 2010 brochure offers more choice and features Worldwide Holidays for the first time

More walking and cycling breaks – including a selection of worldwide holidays featured for the first time – have been introduced into HF Holidays’ Family Outdoor Holidays 2010 brochure.

For example, the company has added a new six-night self-guided Family Rambles with a Donkey trail – suitable for children aged four and over – in the scenic Ardèche region of France following the huge success of a similar trail introduced in Cevennes last year.

Enjoy the easy-going pace of travelling with a donkey along child-friendly routes through meadows and forests of the Ardèche – with leisurely walking distances of between six and 10 miles – with highlights including the region’s chestnut forests, volcanic hills, small hamlets and the medieval village of Boffres.

Available any day between April and October, the cost is from £599 per adult, twin-share, with children aged six-11 years £339 and those aged four-five years £269 each.  These prices include full-board accommodation in small rural farms and chamber d’hote, maps and detailed walk notes and one donkey per group to carry luggage and tired children.

Turning to the new worldwide family selection, the seven-night Jordan: Ancients & Legends guided holiday follows in the footsteps of ancients through lost cities and deserts with highlights including the rose-red city of Petra, crusader castles, floating in the Dead Sea and sleeping under the stars – Bedouin-style – at Wadi Rum.

Available any day between April and December, the cost is £1395 per adult, twin-share, with child prices – based on sharing a room with two adults – from £420 for 12-16 year olds and from £225 for under 12s.

These prices include seven nights’ accommodation (five B&B, two full-board) in hotels, a Bedouin camp and eco camp, airport transfers, activities and excursions as per the programme and an English-speaking tour guide.

Other new family holidays include Peru Inca Adventure and South Africa Cape Adventure as well as cycling in Southern Dalmatia and Jersey.
