Critically acclaimed band, The Mystery Jets have been named as the feature act for the ‘Chevrolet Spark Unscheduled Tour’. Following on from their European tour with the Arctic Monkeys the band will be giving fans the opportunity to hear their eagerly anticipated third album performed live in the UK before its release in June.

The Chevrolet Spark Unscheduled Tour will take place in five locations across the UK. Each gig will be a different location and offer a unique live music experience, as a ‘pop up’ event, where you’ll probably never see live music ever again.

The launch will take place on the 8th April at the Vinyl Factory, underneath independent record label Phonica Records in London, giving 250 music lovers the chance to hear the new tracks as well as experience the world’s first fully functioning car DJ booth, which will feature throughout the tour.

After the launch, members of the public will be asked to vote for where they’d like the tour to go to next from a selection of cities and unique venues. Cities to choose from include Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Brighton, Edinburgh and Bristol with venues ranging from a drained swimming pool and multi-story car park to an old picture house and ferry across the Mersey. A ‘pop up’ gig will take place every two weeks throughout April to June.

Chevrolet has teamed up with a hand-picked selection of the hottest independent, musical, creative and design talents of the moment to drive a buzz around the launch in London’s Soho. DJ’s on the night include Jack Penate, with further acts to be announced. Cult nail salon WAH Nails will also be hosting its very own nail-car, where guests will be treated to an exclusive free session from one of the fashion world’s leading fingertip artists.

Guests will also have the chance to graffiti a Chevrolet Spark which will be on display at the event, only it’s not real paint – it’s all digital. The system works when the digital spray can is depressed, spraying infrared light on the screen giving the same effect as spraying real paint on a wall. It offers a choice of 56 colours and various brush effects allowing individual masterpieces in just a few sprays of the digital can, and can be wiped clean ready for fresh paint in one click.

With light art commissions by none other than legendary illustrator and in-house art director at ISO Kate Moross, the Chevrolet Spark Unscheduled Tour is sure to provide a host of memorable live music experiences across the UK.

The Chevrolet Spark Unscheduled Tour is a FREE invite-only event – visit sparkunscheduled.co.uk for more information on how to bring the tour to your area and win an exclusive ticket.
