In an industry first, healthcare company, Bupa has created a unique alternative to health insurance. Bupa Patient Cash offers a number of the usual benefits associated with health insurance, but in the form of a low-cost cash plan.   The new cash plan has been designed to help people get prompt diagnosis and treatment from as little as £11.70 per month.

Emma Exelby, sales manager for Bupa Cash Plan said: "Having listened to our customers, we have designed a product which gives people access to consultants as early as possible so that they can quickly find out what's wrong and get the right treatment as quickly as possible, all at an affordable price."

Bupa Patient Cash offers customers three levels of cover including up to £600 a year for consultations, up to £2,000 a year for in-patient hospital stays and up to £400 a year for day patient surgery in a hospital.   Cover of up to £600 a year is also available for physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic or homoeopathy. All levels of cover include 24-hour access to Bupa's nurse helpline which offers information and advice about any healthcare matter.
