Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has opened their much-anticipated development of new homes for sale at Frankfield Loch on Cumbernauld Road in the small commuter town of Stepps, North Lanarkshire.

Frankfield Loch features 114 family homes and boasts an extensive choice of two and three bedroom terrace and semi detached homes, as well as an impressive range of three and four bedroom detached family homes in this popular North Lanarkshire suburb. Located on the north-eastern outskirts of Glasgow, Stepps is within an easy travelling distance of the city centre either by road or rail.

There are a total of 10 styles of new build properties to choose from, all from the company’s ‘Scotland’ range of new homes, and prices currently range from £165,000 for a three bedroom semi-detached Baird up to £260,000 for a four bedroom detached Geddes.

Every new home offers a stylish and practical layout to appeal to families that want to get on with every-day living, whilst still being just a short journey away from the buzz of the city-centre of Glasgow.

Stepps is easily a commuter’s choice - benefitting from an excellent transport infrastructure that includes the A80 offering a convenient route into the heart of the city centre, and the M8 motorway network to make moving around the rest of the region easy. The local Stepps train station is within easy reach of the development and offers a regular service into Glasgow’s Central station – a regional hub for services to the rest of Scotland and beyond. Plus there’s a good local bus network, with a bus-stop right on the door-step of the development.

Frankfield Loch is already a hit with a wide range of customers as Kirsty Cockburn, sales manager for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland adds: “There has been significant interest from customers for over a year in the lead-up to the launch of this development, and already there are several families who have decided to make the move here. In fact 64% of the plots have now been sold for this year, and there are only seven plots now available for 2010 legal completion. Frankfield Loch ticks so many boxes for potential buyers – it’s got a fantastic location that makes it as easy to get into the city-centre as it is to move around the region so it’s a fantastic base.

“Plus there’s an impressive and diverse range of homes available from our new ‘Scotland’ range that’s sure to satisfy the needs of many customers regardless of where they are on the property ladder. First-time buyers will be impressed with our two and three bedroom homes, whilst families have a good choice of three and four bedroom homes to choose from.”

The village of Stepps is a well-established and desirable suburb of Glasgow with plenty to keep you busy. It offers a good selection of local shops and amenities, whilst the Glasgow Fort is within easy distance of the development for High-Street brands. A good mix of primary and secondary education makes this a popular location for families.

For the outdoor enthusiast the local Frankfield and Hoggenfield Lochs offer beautiful woodland walks, and both are just a short distance away. For golfers, the impressive Sandyhills Golf Course is also within easy reach of the development. The local private health club offers a great choice of sports and leisure activities for the whole family, plus the local Stepps Cultural centre and library boasts a variety of clubs and organisations to keep even the busiest families amused.
