New bike business opens in Bromsgrove
Sutton Motorcycles, the West Midlands’ most renowned name for motorcycle sales and customer service, has opened its second flagship motorcycle dealership in Marlbrook, Bromsgrove, selling the superb range of new and used Honda on-road and off-road motorcycles as well as other manufacturer used machines and, also stocking an extensive range of motorcycle clothing and accessories from a host of leading brands.
Although open for business now, the Grand Opening weekend event is taking place on 3-4 July, with a host of activities available including test rides, the Honda event truck, special offers including great discounts off clothing and accessories, an in-store coffee shop for visitors to meet and relax plus, a free prize draw offering the chance to win a staggering £1,000 voucher to spend in the dealership.
The successful family-owned and run business has been established as a motorcycle dealer within the West Midlands for over 30 years and has regularly featured as a top ten dealers in the Midlands in the annual ‘Rider Power Survey’.
From more humble beginnings in Boldmere Road in Sutton Coldfield in the 80s and 90s, the business expanded the premises in 1999, enabling them to offer a wider range of bikes and also keep an extensive stock of parts and accessories to meet customers’ needs. In 2003 the business expanded again to take on a second showroom - its current and impressive premises at 361 Watling Street, Wilnecote, Tamworth - to make it one of the largest motorcycle dealers in the Midlands, offering not just sales of bikes, but also a full range of servicing facilities, clothing and accessories.
The Sutton Motorcycles Tamworth site has become a popular ‘destination dealership’ for motorcyclists from within the Midlands and further afield, and, whilst the UK motorcycle market has seen a downturn due to the recent economic climate, owner Richard Worley believes that opening this second site in Bromsgrove was the right way forward, both for the business and for the local community.
The impressive Birmingham Road (A38) premises in Bromsgrove – a former Ferrari and Maserati dealership - has undergone a huge refurbishment programme to transform the 7,000 square foot site into a modern, state-of-the-art showroom with workshops, MOT bay, clothing area and relaxed café area. The site also provides ample parking for two-wheel and four-wheel visitors and, over the next twelve months it is anticipated that the dealership will create up to 12 jobs for the local area.
The team’s vast experience of motorcycles and motorcycling generally, coupled with highly trained service technicians, their strong commitment to customer service and their extensive knowledge of the region, make Sutton Motorcycles perfectly placed to service the needs of the thriving motorcycling community across the whole of the West Midlands from their Tamworth and Bromsgrove bases.
