See penguins on parade in Australia

13th July 2010 Print

Phillip Island, off the coast of Australia, plays host to a new BBC documentary charting the fortunes of its resident, charismatic little penguins.

The feathered stars of the six part show include Bluey, Sheila, Spike and Tash. Fall in love with these loyal and charming characters on the BBC’s ‘Penguin Island’ and visit their friends, relatives and even the stars themselves on a Penguin Parade tour, with Austravel, the Australasia expert.

The tour gives travellers the chance to marvel as the penguins make their way ashore at dusk, waddling up the beach towards their nests among the dunes.

“We’ve been advising British travellers for many years about extraordinary Phillip Island and its residents,” says Ben Briggs, Austravel’s Brand Manager.

“The Phillip Island Penguin Parade has always been one of our most popular tours and we are really excited to see the stars celebrated on screen.”

Austravel is offering a four night stay in the 4* Seasons Heritage Hotel, Melbourne, a four night self-drive tour of the Great Ocean Road and Grampians National Park, a Phillip Island Penguin Parade tour and return flights with Malaysia Airlines from £1299 per person.
