The stylish apartments at The Wharf are ideal for first time buyers.

Now there’s a bonus for purchasers of the stylish waterside apartments at The Wharf – anyone who reserves in August will receive a voucher for a free iPad upon completion.

The spacious two-bedroom apartments offer the ultimate in tranquil living, located alongside the Grand Union Canal, at an affordable price for first time buyers. A number of buyers have already reserved during the offer period and will receive their voucher for a new Apple iPad when they move in.

The Wharf is in the Linslade area of Leighton Buzzard, only a few miles south of Milton Keynes and an easily manageable rail commute to/from London.

Young professionals and downsizers alike have recognised the potential of these apartments, with their peaceful waterside position, the fact they are easy to maintain and economical to run, plus the ease with which local amenities in Leighton Buzzard can be reached on foot.

There’s also another great reason to reserve during August - it’s the last chance to initially save almost a third off the normal price with the help from the Government-backed HomeBuy Direct scheme.

Mary Timlin, sales director for Redrow Homes South Midlands, said: “Making that all-important first step onto the property ladder is a big move and buyers will understandably want to take their time. However, time really is of the essence as not only is there limited availability with HomeBuy Direct at The Wharf, the transactions must be legally complete by the end of September.

“Would-be home owners needn’t worry though, as Redrow and our HomeBuy agent will help guide them through the application process and make everything as simple and straight-forward as possible.”

HomeBuy Direct customers can take advantage of an equity loan up to 30% of the asking price, jointly funded by Redrow and the Homes and Communities Agency, enabling them to purchase the home of their dreams at a price they can afford.

It means a two-bedroom apartments can be purchased from an initial outlay of as little as £104,965 (full price £149,950). The loan is interest free for the first five years and the balance can be paid when the customer has more funds available or when they come to resell.

The scheme is open to those with an annual household income of under £60,000. Eligible customers include first time buyers, those starting over after a relationship break up or growing families who can prove they need extra space.

Just 20 apartments now remain for sale and buyers have their final chance to secure a new home before the development sells out.

“With two good-sized bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious, open plan kitchen and living area, the apartments have a lot to offer a range of buyers, including those starting out or starting over,” added Mary.

“Linslade is only about 16 miles north of Hemel Hempstead and south of Milton Keynes and trains from Leighton Buzzard to central London can take as little as 35 minutes.”

Redrow’s apartments are built to a high-specification and provide the ultimate in low-maintenance living, with top of the range features including prestige Moores kitchens and Smeg appliances.

The nearby market town of Leighton Buzzard, characterised by quaint streets and historic buildings, provides great restaurants and a range of shops, while Milton Keynes is also an easy commute.
