New AA Credit Card online offer

26th August 2010 Print

AA Financial Services is offering a new credit card deal available only online. Successful online applications for the AA Credit Card benefit from 0 per cent interest for 12 months from the date the account is opened on all card purchases including motoring and fuel purchases which, combined with a generous reward points system, is an exceptional offer.

This is in addition to 0 per cent on balance transfers for 9 months from the date the account is opened (transfers to be made within 90 days, 3% handling fee applies).    Typical 18.9 per cent APR (variable).

Also, from1 September, repayments to the AA's Reward Credit Card that don't pay off the full balance will now go towards paying off balances with the highest interest rates first.  This means that balances with lower interest rates, such as 0 per cent promotional rates, will be paid off last.  This comes four months ahead of the deadline for changes announced by the Government earlier this year.

The unique reward scheme allows credit card holders to earn points each time they make a purchase with the card.  AA members earn at twice the rate of non-members and for all holders, motoring purchases earn double reward points, meaning AA members can earn the equivalent of 4 per cent when they redeem points earned on motoring or fuel spend against other AA products.  The points can also be redeemed on a range of retail offers, including high street shopping vouchers, special days out, AA products and services including books and maps, insurance and membership; or cash back.

Mark Huggins, director of AA Financial Services, says: "Some cards offer either reward points or 0 per cent deals - the AA Credit Card combines both, which I believe makes it one of the most compelling credit deals on the market. The card has already won many fans for its market-leading points system, which is twice as good if you are an AA member.

"At a time when many families are taking care with their finances, the card offers a real opportunity to make your money go further."
