Avis car rental joins BalticMiles

Avis car rental has become a partner in the BalticMiles loyalty programme of the Latvian national airline airBaltic.

Tero Taskila, the Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic: “Avis car rental is an excellent addition to our BalticMiles partner programme, and our customers can earn BalticMiles points every time they rent a car from Avis. BalticMiles is expanding outside the Baltic region to become a truly international loyalty programme.”

BalticMiles members can earn 500 points per rental with Avis. In total, Avis operates more than 5000 car rentals in more than 160 countries.

BalticMiles is the first loyalty programme to bring together a number of companies in the Baltic and Nordic region. It was launched in October 2009 and currently the programme has over 20 partners – airBaltic, Neste Latvija, Nordea, Latvijas Mobilais Telefons, ESPA Riga, Islande Hotel, SAS, Sixt, Eurolines, LSG Sky Chefs, airBalticTravel.com, L?vu Akvaparks, Citadele, Kolonna, Amber SPA Boutique Hotel, Rantasipi Hotels, Cumulus Hotels, Neiburgs Hotel, Language Direct, Radisson Blu and Park Inn hotels. BalticMiles is an open loyalty programme – an unlimited number of partners from various sectors can join it.

BalticMiles members can collect and spend their points to take airBaltic flights, take Eurolines/LUX Express buses and make purchases on airBalticTravel.com. BalticMiles members can collect points by purchasing fuel in Neste A24 stations, making payments with the BalticMiles MasterCard that is issued by Nordea, paying for Latvijas Mobilais Telefons services, staying at Radisson Blu or Park Inn or other hotels, enjoying treatments at ESPA Riga or Amber SPA Boutique Hotel, renting a car from Sixt, fly on SAS, ordering food from the airCafe menu for flights on airBaltic, buying cosmetic products or enjoying beauty procedures at Kolonna, learning languages with Language Direct. Points can be spend by going to the movies at Citadele, enjoying more active entertainment at the L?vu Akvaparks water park or simply going shopping at balticmiles.com.

Clients can sign up for the BalticMiles programme by filling out an application form.  It can be found at all airBaltic ticket offices, at registration desks, or in the business lounge at the Riga International Airport. People can also apply for the programme at balticmiles.com.
