Ski Dubai counts down to five year milestone

Five years on from the attraction’s landmark opening in November 2005, Ski Dubai has made a name for itself as a truly unique property in the Middle East as the world’s first mountain-themed, all-inclusive indoor ski resort in the desert and maintaining the title of one of Dubai’s world famous icons.

With a 400 meter long ski slope, a 62m vertical drop and the capacity to welcome 1500 guests, Ski Dubai demonstrates several sky-rocketing numbers that has made the attraction such a benchmark for leisure concepts within the region. 

22, 500 – total square footage of Ski Dubai encompassing unrivalled beginner to advanced skiing and snowboarding facilities in an area equivalent to over three football fields.

6000 – tonnes of snow made through a dynamic cooling system that utilizes powerful snow guns to form snow crystals that build up to create the perfect true-to-life snow conditions.

3, 000 – square footage of the world’s largest indoor snow park for all ages to enjoy the the novelty of playing in the snow in the desert heat without taking to the slopes.

268 – the number of staff from over 27 countries around the world, making up multinational team including highly skilled and certified instructors that cater to children and adults alike wanting to learn in Ski Dubai’s Ski and Snowboard Academy.
