In these uncertain economic times, and set against a backdrop of recent train fare hike announcements and grim wintry weather, Renault customers in the New Year will benefit from welcome peace of mind, as well as some longer term money-saving, thanks to a new three-year/30,000-mile fixed price Renault Service Plan.

Competitively priced from £159 including 20% VAT, the service plan is available from 4th January 2011 for all routine servicing and covers the brand’s full car range at the time of purchase, until 31 December 2011 for all retail customers.

The fixed price service plan is available on every new model, ranging from £159 for Twingo, Modus and Kangoo, to £199 for Clio and Wind Roadster, £219 on Mégane, £249 for Scénic and Laguna, and lastly, £349 for Espace. The plan covers all Renault cars for three years up to 30,000 miles, whichever is reached sooner and includes parts, labour and VAT on manufacturer’s servicing with no nasty surprises when it comes to being presented with the bill. Plus, as part of the new offer, should the car be sold prior to the expiry of the service plan, the policy can simply be transferred to the new owner, potentially adding to the vehicle’s resale value.

In addition to the sense of reassurance which comes from knowing that all scheduled servicing needs are covered from the outset when it comes to fixed price service plans, Renault is expecting significant interest in the offer due to the transparent pricing and the option to include the cost of servicing in the finance payment.

Servicing as part of the fixed price service plan is carried out in accordance with Renault’s recommended manufacturer service schedule and customers can choose to have the servicing undertaken at any Renault franchised dealer.  Whichever dealer they choose, they can be sure that their servicing is carried out by fully trained Renault Technicians, using genuine Renault parts which come with a year’s warranty. Wear and tear and routine maintenance are not covered by the fixed price service plan, however, at each visit a free 25-point check will be carried out and the dealer will advise the customer of any maintenance work that may be required.

Speaking about Renault UK’s latest initiative, Mark Crockett, Director of Service and Quality, commented, “We recognise customers are always concerned about the cost of ownership. With our new fixed service price plan, we’re determined to offer peace of mind and a sanctuary from ever-increasing costs in these tough economic times, while reinforcing the great value and quality service of servicing at a franchised dealer.”
