People looking for a brand new home in Motherwell will soon have more to choose from, with the launch of Redrow’s latest venture Silver Birch Park.

The first phase of homes to be built at the 9.5 acre site off Craigneuk Street, in the Craigneuk area of the North Lanarkshire town, will offer a choice of three and four-bedroom properties from Redrow’s New Heritage Collection. The first homes at Silver Birch Park will be released for sale in early 2011.

Inspired by the architecture of the Arts and Crafts movement, the properties will look traditional from the outside but will boast modern interiors styled for 21st century living.

Mary McHutchison, sales manager for Redrow Homes (Scotland), commented: “Designed in response to customer feedback, the New Heritage Collection marks a return to Redrow’s roots of building quality family homes that people really want to live in. The combination of traditional exteriors and modern interiors is proving popular with buyers across Scotland and we expect people in Motherwell will show a keen interest in the homes at Silver Birch Park.”

Arts and Crafts inspired features will be seen to varying degrees on the new homes in Motherwell, including dropped eaves, projecting plinths, bays and other distinctive window styles, plus timber or tiled canopies over doors and windows.

Inside they will boast family friendly features with an emphasis on convivial open plan living spaces. Contemporary kitchens will benefit from the convenience of integrated top brand name appliances and floor to ceiling units that offer plenty of storage; while statement-making bathrooms will enjoy quality fixtures and fittings.

“The combination of traditional exteriors and stylish interiors means customers can enjoy the charm and character of an older property but without any of the draw backs,” Mary commented.

“Because new-build homes tend to be more energy efficient than their older second hand counterparts, homeowners could save money on their utility bills. Plus they won’t be inheriting someone else’s decor or DIY disasters, but will enjoy the peace of mind of a 10-year ‘Buildmark’ warranty.”

Two show homes are due to open at Silver Birch Park in spring, but in the meantime house hunters can explore Redrow’s New Heritage Collection from the comfort of their home, office or wherever they access the internet thanks to Redrow.TV. The award-winning online television channel has all the latest Redrow news, development and show home films, plus video guides explaining how Redrow can help customers buy their dream home.
