Sales executive Jackie Prouse knows only too well just how powerful a little bit of local knowledge can be.

The Taylor Wimpey staff member has spent four happy years working for the firm and recently bagged a dream role selling homes in the area she knows best.

Now she says being based in her local area means she can offer even better service than ever to would-be buyers.

Jackie, who was born and raised in Maske-on-Sea, is busy helping potential purchasers find out more about what’s on offer at the Hunley Manor development, in East Clevelands, just five miles away.

She now lives in Skelton Green – just a short drive away from her sales office – so is able to fill buyers in on services, schools and inside information about what life will be like at Hunley Manor.

“It’s been a massive help,” she says, “because it means I really can tell people what the place is like because I live here.

“I’ve worked in schools and helped to organise youth groups here too so I know just how much is on offer – especially for families.

“Buyers really appreciate that extra level of knowledge. When any of us are choosing a home we want to know that the house itself looks great but that the surrounding area is going to work for us too.

“This is such a wonderful part of the world that it’s great to be able to show it off. And although most of our interest is from local people, there are always buyers looking to relocate too.

“I had a call this week from a man in Cambridge looking to move here in his retirement – I was able to talk him through all that Hunley Manor will be able to offer him.”

The development, off Newbury Road, in Brotton, boasts an impressive selection of three and four-bedroom terrace, semi-detached and detached homes – from as little as £182,995 - and offers fantastic, easy access to some of Yorkshire’s most beautiful countryside.

With the stunning north Yorkshire moors on your doorstep and the historic coastal towns of Whitby and Saltburn-by-the-Sea a short drive away, the development really does offer something for everyone.

As Jackie says: “I wouldn’t live anywhere else – once you’ve been here a while most people feel the same.”

For commuters the development is also close to the A174, A171 and A66 leading to the A19.

Both Middlesbrough and Whitby can be reached by car in around 30 minutes and nearby Saltburn-by-the-Sea train station delivers services to Middlesbrough in 25 minutes and Darlington in around an hour.

For those wishing to travel further afield, Durham Tees Valley Airport is approximately 50 minutes away by car.
