“Citroen Vans - Business Class” is a new and comprehensive programme involving Citroen people, products and services.  The new programme encapsulates the future form and direction of Citroen UK’s commercial vehicle strategy, which is focused on delivering an outstanding level of customer service and the widest range of state-of-the-art LCV products available.

The “Citroen Vans - Business Class” programme is designed to provide Citroen LCV customers with:-

Even greater levels of professional service, through the Citroen Business Centre network
Environmentally respectful, fuel efficient vehicles, utilising Citroen’s Euro 5 programme (see separate release)
A better equipped range of LCVs, with Enterprise range-topping and other range-expanding models
The unique Citroen Trafficmaster LCV package for lower running costs and higher levels of operational efficiency

At the heart of the “Citroen Vans - Business Class” strategy is the Citroen UK network of some 200 professional dealers.  Citroen dealers have played a key role in helping to build the Company’s LCV sales success.  During 2011, Citroen UK will continue to work closely with its dealer network to ensure that sales and aftersales service standards rise in line with customers’ requirements.

Citroen has made a major commitment to enhance customer sales and aftersales support, across Europe, to attract even more customers to the brand.  A key element in achieving these objectives is to provide all fleet customers, irrespective of fleet size, with even higher levels of specialist support.

The resulting pan-European Citroen Business Centre programme entails participating Citroen dealers to make a significant commitment in terms of site investment, additional staff and continuous staff training.  Since the Business Centre programme was launched, around half of the entire Citroen UK dealer network has joined the programme, investing heavily to raise sales and aftersales standards to support our customers.

As a result, Citroen now has a strategically positioned 90+ strong network of Business Centres across the UK offering an expanded range of customer services, complementing those already offered by the existing Citroen dealer network.

To further increase the profile of the Business Centre network, these specialist dealers are now adopting Citroen’s new corporate identity.  To date, some 25 Business Centres have completed the corporate re-branding programme with a further 10 to be completed by the end of February.  The remainder will have the work finalised before the end of 2011.

The new Business Centres offer Citroen customers:-

Specially trained professional LCV and car fleet sales staff
Additional, specially trained professional LCV technical support staff
A wide range of new Citroen LCVs in stock and on display
Displays of Relay Specialist and Ready to Run vehicles
A wide range of LCV demonstrator vehicles available
A large choice of Citroen-approved used LCVs
A wide range of while-you-wait service operations
Extended opening hours for both sales and service
A variety of LCV courtesy vehicles, including Dispatch and Relay models

Citroen’s Business Centres network is just one element within the “Citroen Vans - Business Class” programme.  Outstanding customer service is complemented by Citroen’s policy of offering customers the choice of even better equipped LCV models.  Citroen LCVs have long offered class-leading specification standards and last year, Citroen took this process a stage further with the launch of range-topping Nemo, Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay Enterprise versions.  All have additional specification to improve three key factors that contribute towards safe and efficient van operation.

Nemo, Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay Enterprise models all therefore feature:-

Air conditioning, to improve driver comfort
Bluetooth, for improved communications
Rear parking sensors, for improved safety

All Enterprise models also have remote central locking, electric front windows and electrically adjustable, heated door mirrors as standard.

Another key element of the “Citroen Vans - Business Class” programme is Citroen’s unique Trafficmaster Smartnav and Trackstar telematics package.  Citroen has long recognised that advanced telematics plays an important role in improving vehicle and driver productivity, as well as providing financial, safety and environmental gains.  As such, Citroen fits Trafficmaster Smartnav satellite navigation as standard to more LCVs than any other manufacturer.

Since early last year, the unique Citroen Trafficmaster Smartnav and Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking package has been standard equipment on all Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay panel vans.  The unique Citroen Trafficmaster Smartnav and Trackstar package is also available on Nemo, Berlingo First, Berlingo platform cab, Dispatch platform cab and Relay crew cabs and chassis cabs.  These models can be optionally fitted with this equipment, at a heavily subsidised price of just £399 + VAT, including three years’ subscription.

In making the Citroen Trafficmaster Smartnav and Trackstar package available across the whole of the Citroen LCV range, a further element of the “Citroen Vans - Business Class” programme has been set in place.

With this advanced telematics package, Citroen LCV customers are provided with the potential to further increase the efficiency and professionalism of their vehicle operation, thanks to the option of specifying Fleet Director, a sophisticated, real-time fleet management tool.  Now available for all Trafficmaster-equipped Citroen LCVs, at a subsidised rate of just £19.99 + VAT per month, Fleet Director utilises the Smartnav telematics platform to enable fleet managers to better meet ‘Duty of Care’ responsibilities, to further improve vehicle and driver productivity, and to reduce costs.
