Work colleagues, Mark Leary and David Sharples, are about to become neighbours – after buying homes opposite each other at the Aston Park development in Swallownest.

And it’s a double celebration for the pair who have each been given £250 thanks to Taylor Wimpey’s Recommend A Friend Scheme.

Lucky Mark also won a 32-inch TV after being entered into the company’s Spring Into Action draw.

He introduced friend David to the prestigious development in April 2010 after reserving a plot for himself and wife Catherine.

The Learys were one of the first to buy a four-bedroom detached Bakewell property on the development and used part exchange to finance the purchase.

They told colleague David and his wife Pamela about the development – and the couple were so impressed they reserved a similar property, on the same street.

The Learys were also entered into a draw for their initial recommendation and were delighted to be told they’d won a new TV too.

As Mark says: “It’s been a great experience. We found a property that was right for us and some great new neighbours at the same time.

“We were so impressed with the site that we were more than happy to recommend it to friends – we’re just glad they managed to find somewhere they like.

“Winning the prize has been the icing on the cake.”

Aston Park offers buyers an excellent choice of quality new homes in an ideal location close to the M1, M18 and A57 which is handy for commuters. There is currently a selection of four bedroom townhouse and detached homes available, with prices from £127,496 with Taylor Wimpey’s Easystart shared equity scheme.

For more information about the development, call into the sales information centre off High Street, Swallownest which is open five days a week Thursday to Monday between 11am and 5pm.
