Barclaycard balance transfer card now offers 25% off transfer fees

New customers applying for the Barclaycard balance transfer credit card will not only benefit from the UK's longest 0% balance transfer deal of 18 months but will now get 25% off handling fees, when they make more than one balance transfer. Those applying between 15th March and 3rd May 2011, have 60 days to make their balance transfers to be eligible for the offer.

New Customers will receive 25% off all additional handling fees, whilst the highest balance transfer will have a handling fee of 2.9%. For example, a new Barclaycard Platinum customer making a transfer of £3,000 and two subsequent balance transfers of £2,000 will make a total saving of £29 with an effective handling fee of 2.18%.

The 25% discount is also available on the Barclaycard Platinum Purchase Card, which offers 12 months interest free on balance transfers and 12 months 0% interest on all purchases.

As well as helping customers cut the cost of borrowing, Barclaycard offers its customers the UK's largest and simplest reward scheme. Barclaycard Freedom gives customers Reward Money on purchases at the point of sale, phasing out easy to lose vouchers and complicated points. The scheme is now available in over 24,000 retail outlets from House of Fraser to local convenience stores.
