Local schoolchildren have helped pave the way for the arrival of a brand new artwork by planting trees at Taylor Wimpey’s Kingshill Grange development of property for sale in High Wycombe.

Primary school pupils have paved the way for a stunning work of art to take its place at Taylor Wimpey’s Kingshill Grange development of apartments and houses for sale in High Wycombe.

A dozen youngsters from Highworth County Combined School helped plant a circle of 12 hornbeam trees near the entrance to the development of High Wycombe flats and houses, in preparation for the arrival of a stone sculpture by esteemed British artist Peter Randall-Page.

The sculpture, commissioned by the leading housebuilder, will be installed within the circle of trees in April, with plans to officially unveil it as Kingshill Grange’s striking centrepiece to complement the collection of property in High Wycombe in early May.

Tim Betts, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “We are very grateful to the pupils from Highworth School for doing a sterling job of helping to plant the trees at our Kingshill Grange development of houses and flats for sale in High Wycombe.

“As the trees mature, they will provide a stunning living frame that’s integral to Peter’s vision of how the sculpture should appear, and, of course, further enhance the appearance of what will be a wonderful, leafy new community of properties in High Wycombe.”

The installation site is situated near the Kingshill Road entrance to the development, and is designed to complement the natural glade formed by mature trees and hedgerow where the Sales Information Centre, showhomes and gardens nestle.

This permanent work of art will be enjoyed by those choosing a new home at Kingshill Grange as well as the wider community.

The children at Highworth School, the catchment area of which includes Kingshill Grange, have been involved in the project since the early stages, taking part in an art workshop led by professional sculptor Reece Ingram, a former apprentice of Randall-Page.

One pupil, Karim, says: “We really liked visiting Kingshill Grange and being able to see where the sculpture is going to be. It was interesting to find out more about what public art is.”

Another pupil, Emily, adds: “Reece explained how some of the patterns in nature are made and how these patterns have inspired Peter’s work.”

A selection of stylish two-bedroom apartments are available to reserve now at Kingshill Grange, with prices starting from as little as £212,995, while spacious four-bedroom family-sized house are priced from only £339,995.

Further information on the properties is available by visiting the development off Kingshill Road, open seven days a week between 10.30am and 5.30pm.
