The medieval castle retreat in southern Tuscany, Castello di Vicarello has opened its doors to offer a truly exclusive wedding venue.

Castello di Vicarello, in the Maremma region of Tuscany, is surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards and orchards with views down to the sea, providing a wonderful setting for weddings and blessings. This 12th Century ultra-luxury retreat offers floral-filled gardens, striking scenery and cool sea breezes – the perfect backdrop to say ‘I do’.  Vicarello is an exclusive hotel with just seven suites, two secluded infinity pools and a spa (offering guests the perfect opportunity for some pre and post-wedding pampering).

At Vicarello, food is not only a passion; it’s an organic way of life.  The retreat grows its own vegetables, produces award-winning wine and olive oil, and the kitchen is world-renowned for its home-cooked Tuscan meals using local and seasonal ingredients. Couples can be safe in the knowledge that their special day will be catered to the highest standard by the family and staff at Vicarello.  Wedding menus range from €140-200 per guest for an authentically lavish three-course menu. Alternatively, guests may choose a relaxed dining approach, with a buffet of regional recipes and a sweet selection of patisseries.

Weddings tend to require the exclusive hire of Vicarello, which can accommodate up to 20 guests with a minimum three night stay, (arrangements can be made at nearby hotels and B&B’s for any additional guests).  For the wedding ceremony and reception, up to 180 guests can be catered for at the property, with outdoor dining areas or the use of a marquee. This exclusivity provides an intimate destination, a perfect cocoon for an unforgettable wedding day in Tuscany.

Castello di Vicarello is a gastronomic spa retreat with seven suites, designed for the discerning traveller.  A stunning, medieval castle nestled in the Tuscan hills, close to Siena and Grosseto.

Castello di Vicarello can accommodate 14 people or 20 people maximum with the use of extra beds (€85-€105). The approximate rate for 14 guests at Vicarello is €5,040 per day, (2011 rate) including breakfast.  A minimum of three nights stay is required.
