Family get more for less with new home in Doncaster

Working in the housing industry Shaun Peart knew what he wanted from a new home and Redrow’s Danum St Giles venture in Doncaster ticked all the right boxes.

Shaun, who is managing director of LSL Land and New Homes, explained: “We were living in Conisbrough and came across the new Redrow homes at Danum St Giles because my daughter goes swimming nearby. As I’m involved in the housing market I see show homes every day of the week but was really impressed by the landscape of the site and the product looked fantastic. We were looking for a new home in the Conisbrough or Rotherham area but the development drew us in.”

Shaun and wife Joanne moved up the property ladder to a four-bedroom ‘Neale’ style property using part-exchange.

“It’s an end terrace town house, set out over three floors, with lots of space and two living rooms. We use the ground floor family room as a ‘cinema’ room and somewhere the children can sit and play. The first floor family lounge has a Juliet balcony with views over the green, where we walk our dogs. Our daughters have the freedom of the top floor with their own bathroom. It’s like their own little flat,” Shaun added.

“Part-exchange saved us time. We were really keen to move and because we didn’t have to wait until we had found a buyer for our old home we were able to move into the new house in a matter of weeks.”

Thanks to Redrow’s ‘More for Less’ incentive their new home was purchased with carpets, curtains and light fittings included.

“The choice and quality of the extras we were offered through ‘More for Less’ was absolutely outstanding. My wife was able to pick out what she wanted and the carpets, curtains and light fittings were delivered and installed for us. It meant we didn’t have the hassle of having to drill holes to put up curtains etc when we moved in. The quality of the finish of our home is great,” Shaun commented.

“Redrow’s customer service has been outstanding from the staff working on site through to the sales manager Patsy Aicken. Their communication during the home buying process was very, very good.”
