RCM Carbon Fibre Propshaft

Roger Clark Motorsport has released a range of race-proven composite propshafts to cater for all Subaru models. Working in conjunction with CTG, the respected competition composite specialists, the two firms have created a range of exceptionally strong, yet lightweight components.

After three seasons of race, road and bench testing, at both RCM and CTG, the Leicestershire-based firm has announced specifications and pricing for these precision-manufactured components, which are all hand-finished here in the UK. These are exactly the same TORQline components as fitted to RCM’s ‘Gobstopper’ racecar, powering them to their numerous Time Attack and Ten Of The Best titles.

Weighing in at approximately 4.0kg, which is around 60% less mass than the OE part, the RCM propshaft offers a significant reduction in rotating unsprung weight, as well as numerous other technical benefits. Each prop is now a single piece unit, replacing the 2-piece standard shaft, whilst also eliminating the centre bearing. Despite its featherweight construction, each shaft can withstand over 3000 Nm of torque without failure and uses 1140 series heavy-duty, sealed-for-life universal joints, complete with race-spec billet steel yokes.

Priced at £1371.50 + VAT, irrespective of model, The RCM composite propshafts are a race-car essentials, as well as being an excellent, cost-effective upgrade for any tuned or cherished road car.
