Self catering in the French Basque countryside

SJ Villas has found a stylish contemporary family house in the French Basque countryside, only 15 minutes drive from the beaches of Hossegor and Seignosse.

La Maison des Champs has recently been renovated and is light and open plan with lots of comfy sofas and statement pieces in primary colours.  The house sleeps twelve with three double and three twin rooms.  There is a home cinema, a second TV room, a snooker room and a playroom with toys and table football.  The well equipped kitchen has a large Gaggenau fridge, an induction hob and steam oven and a covered seating area for 12 as well as an outdoor dining table for 12.

The house is particularly well set up for families with young children with high chairs and cots. There is a large pool, which has a shallow beach end and is gated and surrounded by a sunbathing terrace with sunbeds and a covered lounging area.

This area of France is great for families as there are lots of large sandy beaches, which are great for surfing and windsurfing, forest cycle tracks and some good restaurants and food markets.  You can even pop down to Spain for an evening of Tapas.

A week at La Maison des Champs with SJ Villas costs £635 per person for a week (Euros 8,750) including daily maid service.
