airBaltic offers Tez Tour charter flights to Tenerife

10th June 2011 Print

Latvian national airline airBaltic has concluded an agreement with international tour operator Tez Tour for summer charter flights to Tenerife in Spain.

The airline is already offering 105 charter flights this summer to Turkey and Greece, but now it will add more than 20 flights from Riga to the Canary Islands. This is the longest charter flight airBaltic offers.

Starting from June 9 airBaltic will offer charter flights to Tenerife once a week – on Thursdays.  Passengers will board Boeing 757 airplane, which is the largest plane in the airBaltic fleet.

Konstantin Palgov, Director of Tez Tour in Baltics: “The Canary Islands are the most distant place to which airBaltic flies at this time. We are proud to be partners with one of the best airlines in Europe. airBaltic is a very important to our customers.

Tez Tour has offered charter flights to Tenerife for three years, and experience shows that this is a popular destination among Latvian tourists. The Canary Islands are chosen by those tourists, who do not want to accept “all inclusive” offers. Tenerife has another advantage – the average temperature on the Canary Islands is between 25 and 30 degrees, while along the shores of the Mediterranean the average temperature is up to 40 degrees in the summer. What’s more, prices at Mediterranean resorts are the highest in June, July and August, while prices on the Canary Islands do not change much at all. For that reason, tourists from Western Europe are great fans of holidays on the Canary Islands during the summer season.”

airBaltic and Tez Tour will offer economy class, business class and special economy class premium seats on charter flights to the Canary Islands. Special economy premium passengers will have seats toward the front of the airplane, receive meals and beverages during the flight, and be able to check in at a dedicated location at the Riga International Airport.

“Tourists flying in economy class to Tenerife will also receive free of charge snack set during the flight,” said Palgov.

airBaltic serves 80 destinations from its home base at Riga, Latvia. From every one of these, airBaltic offers convenient connections via North Hub Riga to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East.

Tez Tour offers charter flight to travellers all year round. Tez Tour customers are welcome to visit Turkey, Greece, Spain, Egypt, UAE, Thailand, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Maldives, as well as skiing resorts in Austria and Andorra.
