The doors to two new show homes will be opening next weekend (Saturday and Sunday, September 23 and 24) at The Elms, in Carlisle.

The available homes at Lovell’s development include traditional three and four-bedroom designs.

The new Bayley show home has been styled by a professional team of interior designers with a family in mind. Laid out over two floors, the house has an open-plan lounge and dining room, with French doors on to the rear garden, and a separate kitchen plus downstairs cloakroom on the ground floor.

A natural colour scheme, with accents of teal in the window dressings and soft furnishings, combined with solid wood furniture and framed artwork affords the downstairs of the house a timeless style with a contemporary twist.

The classic colour scheme continues upstairs, where three good-sized bedrooms have been furnished with dark wood units. The family bathroom features a fresh white suite.

Lovell is also offering buyers the opportunity to purchase a new home at a more affordable initial price, through its shared equity scheme. It means purchasers could initially defer 25% of the purchase price for up to 10 years. For example, this means three-bedroom family home could be snapped up for just £88,496 (full price £117,995). Homebuyers still own 100% of their home from day one but the scheme means they only pay 75% of the asking price up front.

There’s no interest or rent to pay on the deferred amount, and buyers can pay it back when they have more funds available or come to resell.

Elaine Taylor, sales manager for Lovell North West, said: “This is a fantastic incentive for first time buyers who may be finding it difficult to save for the large deposits required by many mortgage providers.

“Our shared equity scheme gives homebuyers a viable alternative to renting and means they have an asset to show for their money.”

The Carlisle homes are located in the heart of an established residential area, surrounded by parkland and close to the historic city centre. The development is perfect for families to call home, with an enclosed park and children’s play area.

The properties are bright, spacious and feature a host of family friendly features. For example, the other show home is a three-bedroom semi-detached Elmley which has its own driveway and integrated garage. The ground floor features a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining room with French doors on to the rear garden, a separate lounge and a downstairs cloaks while upstairs are three good-sized bedrooms, including a master bedroom with en-suite, and a family bathroom.

All properties will come complete with fully fitted kitchens and contemporary bathroom suites. Attention to detail is paramount and purchasers could even personalise their new home with Lovell’s ‘Inspirations’ range of optional extras.

“Buying a newly built home means you enjoy peace of mind, you're part of a new community and your home is designed to suit the modern lifestyle,” Elaine added.

“Our homes are constructed to exacting standards with inbuilt energy efficiency measures, which should help lower the cost of your fuel bills.”

Ideally located off the A595 Wigton Road and close to the M6 junction 43 and 44, Park View and The Elms benefit from a host of nearby amenities which meet the needs of modern families including shops, restaurants and plenty of schools.

For those who enjoy the outdoor lifestyle, Heysham Park is close by as is the city’s Bitts Park.

The area benefits from a wide choice of primary and secondary schools, and there are two children’s activity centres in the locality, as well as leisure and community facilities to keep the whole family entertained.

For those who do not require shared equity, Lovell has a range of incentives it can tailor to suit different purchasers to help them move, including part exchange for those with a property to sell.
