Diamond pop-up shop opens in Hatton Garden Diamond Quarter

1st September 2011 Print

A unique jewellery boutique is opening to the public in London’s internationally renowned diamond quarter on the 11th October from 12 – 6pm at Clerkenwell House, 23 – 27 Hatton Wall. The store will showcase luxurious simulated diamond creations, including three replicas of iconic jewellery from the silver screen.

The boutique has been created by QVC, the UK’s fifth largest jewellery retailer, to celebrate their simulated diamond collection, Diamonique, and demonstrate how similar the stones are to real diamonds – at a fraction of the cost.

The store will showcase a large variety of jewellery from the range as well as one-off replicas of the Titanic Heart of the Ocean necklace, the Ruby and Diamond Necklace featured in Pretty Woman and the Yellow Diamond necklace worn by Kate Hudson in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

Diamonique is one of the finest simulations of a diamond that exists. Each stone is expertly cut by hand in the same way that natural diamonds are to enhance the flawless clarity, colour, consistency and brilliance of every piece. The carat size of a Diamonique simulated diamond is also measured in exactly the same way as a real diamond so a one carat Diamonique stone is as close as possible in size and appearance to a one carat diamond. The range is available exclusively through QVC with prices ranging from £11 to £750 depending on whether the stones are set in silver, gold or platinum.

Sue Leeson, marketing director, from QVC comments: “We’re setting up our pop-up shop in the heart of this historical diamond district so the public can see for themselves just how identical a Diamonique stone is to a real diamond – without the hefty price tag. If you don’t live nearby or can’t make it down on the day, QVC is also dedicating the day to Diamonique so you can tune-in or go online to find out more.”
