Leeds launches affinity savings partnership with Marie Curie Cancer

8th November 2011 Print

Leeds Building Society has launched a new affinity savings partnership with Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The account pays an excellent rate of 3.05% gross p.a./ AER, and customers will help Marie Curie with 0.20% of the closing balances being donated to the charity.

Kim Rebecchi, Leeds Building Society Sales and Marketing Director said, "This account has been specifically designed to offer customers an excellent return on their savings, whilst donating 0.20% of the closing balance to Marie Curie Cancer Care to support the charity. It doesn't cost the customer a thing and the more customers save, the more Marie Curie receives.

"This is a great deal for customers looking to secure a good return on their investment, combined with a minimum opening and operating balance of just £100."

Arun Sharma, Head of Corporate Fundraising at Marie Curie Cancer Care said, "The donations we receive from this new savings scheme with Leeds Building Society will enable Marie Curie nurses to care for more terminally ill patients in the comfort of their own homes."

Kim Rebecchi added, "I would urge people to take advantage of this excellent savings scheme and, by doing so, help to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care. This account can be opened by post or online."
