Bedfordshire property-hunters Joy Craven and Andy Piper were delighted to find their ideal home at Taylor Wimpey’s sought-after Greenacres development of new homes for sale in Stotfold.

When Joy Craven and Andy Piper decided it was time to buy their first home together, they initially began looking for houses for sale in Bedfordshire with unique features and real character.

At first, the couple hoped to find an older property for sale in Bedfordshire which they could renovate over time to suit their requirements.

But when they saw the stunning four-bedroom designs available at Taylor Wimpey’s Greenacres development of brand new homes in Stotfold, Joy and Andy knew they had found the perfect modern property which could be tailored to their every need.

“We were living in my three-bedroom property in Bedfordshire, but Andy and I felt it was time for us to buy our first home together, somewhere we could be happy,” says Joy.

“Greenacres looked different to all the other developments of new build homes in Bedfordshire we had seen – the homes are more individual, and we felt its strong sense of community instantly,” says Joy, who works for the local authority.

The four-bedroom ‘Framlingham’ design that caught their eye was available off-plan, which meant it could be customised to their exact tastes thanks to Taylor Wimpey’s superb range of interior Options.

“We knew within about 10 seconds that it was the place for us,” says Joy. “We saw the plans and loved the open spaces downstairs, the large kitchen and family area looked fantastic, we could see that all of the rooms would allow us to put our own stamp on the property.”

And by taking advantage of one of Taylor Wimpey’s range of helpful homebuyer incentives, Joy and Andy found an easier route to their new home at Greenacres.

“By using the easymover scheme we were able to go through the buying and selling process for my old property in a very smooth and quick way,” says Joy. “It took about eight weeks to go from reserving our new home to exchanging contracts.

“We have both been through moves before and, because we bought with Taylor Wimpey, this one has definitely been the most stress-free. We had a strong relationship with the Sales Executives and the Site Manager all the way through the process, which was reassuring and made it a really positive experience. This is great because it’s a house that we will live in for a long time.”

A choice of superb four-bedroom houses is currently available at Greenacres, including the stylish ‘Azalea’ property, priced from only £315,000.

This impressive property features a modern kitchen/breakfast room, a spacious living room, a separate dining room, a study and a guest cloakroom which completes the ground floor.

Upstairs, the landing leads to two en-suite bedrooms, plus two further well-proportioned bedrooms and a main bathroom, while outside the property benefits from a private rear garden, a garage and two additional parking spaces.

Alternatively, the four-bedroom ‘Stafford’ detached house is available now at Greenacres from just £400,000.

All new homes at Greenacres are completed to a high standard specification, including central heating, double glazing and fitted kitchens with integrated oven hob and hood.

Selected properties are available with Taylor Wimpey’s easymover scheme, which sees the leading housebuilder find a buyer for the purchaser’s existing house in just a few weeks – and even covers the cost of estate agency fees.

All incentives can be tailored to customers’ individual circumstances and are subject to availability, with full details available from the Sales Executive.

Located on the southern edge of Stotfold, Greenacres enjoys easy access to the town’s shops and businesses catering for everyday needs, including a small supermarket, a newsagents, a bakery, a pharmacy, a library, a church, a hairdresser and a garage.

The town has a choice of schools catering for younger children while provision for older children can be found in neighbouring Arlesey and Clifton. A selection of pre-schools is also available within Stotfold, and an adult education centre is based at Clifton.

Letchworth, just three miles from the development, offers a wider choice of high street and independent stores, as well as a vibrant leisure scene including sports facilities, cinemas, cafes, fashionable bars and restaurants.
