New Volkswagen Golf available for under £200 per month

The sixth generation Golf, which went on sale in the UK last week, is available from Volkswagen Retailers with some attractive offers on Volkswagen Finance Solutions – such as the Golf SE 1.4-litre TSI 122 PS 5dr for £199 per month.

Styling of the sixth generation Golf represents the evolution necessary to create a modern Golf, but not so much that it will either date rapidly or drive away the many customers who make the Golf Europe’s most successful car. The new model is the safest, most refined, most technically advanced and most dynamic iteration yet.

At launch the new Golf is available with a choice of four advanced petrol and two common rail diesel engines. Petrol power outputs range from 80 to 160 PS, while the two diesels, offering 110 or 140 PS, both have a standard diesel particulate filter as well as low consumption and emissions credentials.

Three trim levels are offered at launch – S, SE and GT – while GTI, GTD (high performance diesel) and BlueMotion variants will follow later in the year. Standard equipment on every Golf includes air conditioning, a CD stereo system and body-coloured exterior trim, plus ABS, ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Programme) and seven airbags, including for the first time a knee airbag to enhance safety.

The financial services arm of Volkswagen, Volkswagen Finance supports the Retailer network with a range of finance and insurance products, including its personal contract plan, Solutions. The combination of brand values and inherent quality along with the flexibility of Solutions could help a customer get more Volkswagen for their motoring budget. From now until 31 March 2009, Volkswagen Finance is offering a Solutions plan to all retail customers who purchase a new Golf.
