Tired of spending time and money renovating their old home Katie Birch and Jonny Mee wanted to move somewhere new but were having trouble finding a buyer for their existing property until Redrow stepped in.

Thanks to the award-winning developer’s Mastermove scheme they are now settled in a brand new four-bedroom detached home at Old Gate Park in Penwortham.

They’ve now got the home of their dreams – without knocking down walls or living in a building site!

Katie explained: “We’d struggled to secure a buyer for our old home in the North East when we relocated to Lancashire but with Redrow’s help we were able to sell it without any hassle. It still feels like we haven’t done anything because Redrow took care of everything for us – they appointed the estate agent, monitored their activity and even paid the fees.

“Mastermove is a brilliant way of moving if you’ve got a home to sell and the only way I’d move in the future. I’d recommend Redrow without a doubt – in fact I’ve already recommended them to other people who want to move because they’re absolutely fantastic.”

After mastering a move to a new home the couple and daughter Ellee are enjoying living in a home that’s easy to manage and efficient to run.

“We’d invested a lot of time, money and effort in our old home and were absolutely sick of doing work to it,” Katie said.

“We didn’t want Ellee living in a house that was more of a building site than a home and decided to buy a new build so that we could just move in without having to touch anything.”

Their new home is a four-bedroom Cambridge from Redrow’s New Heritage Collection. Traditional on the outside, it’s bright and modern inside.

“We chose the Cambridge because it’s got the best ground floor layout. The open plan kitchen, dining area and family room’s what sold it to us. In our old home we’d had to knock down a dividing wall to achieve a similar layout. Our new kitchen is well equipped with integrated appliances and there’s lots of storage space in the tall cabinets and extra wide drawers,” Katie added.

The master bedroom of their home boasts an en suite to complement the family bathroom and both enjoy quality fixtures and fittings.

Designed to maximise efficiency and minimise waste, like all new Redrow homes it’s well insulated with double glazing and central heating included as standard.

Old Gate Park is close to Leyland, Chorley and Preston and features a choice of four-bedroom family homes priced from £215,995. Those with a property to sell could find that making the transition from old to new is easier than they anticipated with Mastermove or even part exchange.
