People looking for a new home in Wigan have been flocking to College Court, where three show homes are now open for viewing.

Dressed to impress by a team of professional interior designers, the properties showcase all that a brand new home from Redrow’s sought-after New Heritage Collection has to offer.

With the show homes now open, Redrow is hoping to build on the success of its ‘off plan’ sales, buoyed by the fact that help is available to reduce the cost of owning one of these new homes.

Lesley Myers, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), explains: “The popularity of College Court has exceeded our expectations. The homes have already been a tremendous success with more than 20 properties sold even before we opened the show homes. Interest has grown as people have seen the properties taking shape and we were delighted to welcome so many potential purchasers into the show homes over the launch weekend.

“We’ve had lots of positive feedback from people who love how the homes look traditional on the outside yet are bright and modern inside. Visitors have commented on how well we’ve combined the best of old and new to offer homes that blend the charm and character of ‘period’ properties with the style and convenience of being brand new.”

With a choice of designs to view, home buyers can fully appreciate the different layouts and the quality and finish of Redrow’s homes.

The Warwick and Kenilworth show homes both have three bedrooms, while the Shrewsbury is a four-bedroom property.

College Court features a choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes, currently priced from £113,995.

However, buyers could find that they are able to snap up a brand new home for an initial outlay of just £79,996 as the award-winning developer is offering a range of money-saving incentives.

“Thanks to the FirstBuy initiative and Wigan Council’s own affordable homes scheme potential purchasers could find that home ownership is easier to afford than they realised,” Lesley adds.

“Both schemes help reduce the overall size of the mortgage purchasers require and, with it, the amount of deposit. They also reduce the loan-to-value ratio – the amount they borrow as a percentage of the full property value – enabling them to access to some of the better mortgage interest rates, which are usually reserved for those with large deposits or substantial equity in an existing home.”

But it’s not just first time buyers who can find their dream home at College Court. Help is also available for those looking to move up the property ladder. Buyers with an existing home to sell could find they’re able to use it to part-fund a move up the property ladder with part exchange.

College Court enjoys a prime location with a supermarket on its doorstep and a wealth of shops at the nearby retail park. Wigan town centre is only a short journey away and with the M6 easily accessible, the homes are a good base for commuters.
