easyJet to fly Iceland route all year round

easyJet announced that flights from London to Iceland will continue to operate throughout the winter 2012 schedule. easyJet’s commitment to a full year service from London Luton Airport to Reykjavik is in response the passenger demand on the route. More than 8.000 seats have been sold so far, well in advance of the inaugural flight on 27 March 2012.

Tickets for the winter season, which will start in October 2012 will be available from mid March on easyJet.com. Flights will continue to operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Hugh Aitken, easyJet’s UK Commercial Manager, said: Our new route to Iceland has already proved to be successful with passengers at both ends of the route responding to our affordable fares. Iceland is in inspiring destination, and offers an all year round a unique experience.
