New homes in Silverstone are a hit with Louise

Home-hunter Louise Burgess – and her construction expert dad – are delighted with her new home at Brooklands Meadow, Taylor Wimpey’s development of new houses in Silverstone, Northamptonshire.

When Louise Burgess’s dad gave her new Taylor Wimpey house the seal of approval, she knew she’d made the right decision to buy at the leading housebuilder’s development of houses for sale in Silverstone village.

Relocating from Berkshire back to her native Northamptonshire, property-seeker Louise bought a beautiful stone-built four-bedroom detached house at Taylor Wimpey’s Brooklands Meadow development of new-build homes in Silverstone.

But while she fell in love with the Silverstone property, the acid test for her was her father’s professional opinion of it. Louise says: “He was a builder himself, and actually worked for Taylor Wimpey many years ago, so he knows what to look for.

“In fact, he’s built two homes for himself, and has incredibly high standards, so it was comforting to know he was very impressed with the build quality and the finish of my house.

“I found that the finish was so much better than the new-builds I’d looked at by other developers, so I’m really pleased with the house I’ve chosen.”

The way in which Taylor Wimpey handled the purchasing process also impressed Louise, who took advantage of the housebuilder’s easymover incentive.

Under this stress-free scheme, Taylor Wimpey helped find a buyer for Louise’s old property in Berkshire.

Louise says: “After finding the house I wanted at Brooklands Meadow, I realised that easymover was too good an opportunity to miss.

“Having a pretty busy life meant I didn’t really want the stress of trying to sell my house.

“Instead, Taylor Wimpey took care of everything. I had my home put on the market with two estate agents, and the viewings came thick and fast.

“Two sales actually fell through, with the buyers pulling out, which would normally have been a very stressful situation.

“But, because Taylor Wimpey dealt with the estate agents on my behalf, they took all the hassle away, and were absolutely superb, reassuring me they’d find a buyer for my home – and they were right.

“I also used a solicitor recommended by Taylor Wimpey, and they were great, keeping the process very simple for me.”

Since moving to Brooklands Meadow in October, Louise who works in marketing, has been happily settling back into Northamptonshire life.

“I just love the location,” she says. “Silverstone is a lovely, quaint old village and has a great community spirit.

“There’s a pub that’s really popular with locals, and a village shop and a post office, and all are within a five-minute walk of the development.

“The road links are also brilliant – with the A43, A5, M40 and M1 being easy to reach. This was a major factor in me living here as I work a few days a week in Slough.”

A selection of high-quality homes is currently available to buy at Brooklands Meadow, including three-bedroom properties from just £189,995, four-bedroom houses from only £339,995 and five-bedroom homes from as little as £369,995.

All new homes at Brooklands Meadow are finished to a high standard specification including energy-efficient central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

A range of time and money-saving incentives for first-time buyers and those with a property to sell is available with selected properties at Brooklands Meadow, including its easymover scheme, through which Taylor Wimpey typically finds a buyer for a customer’s existing home in just a few weeks – and can even pay for estate agents’ fees and cover the cost of removals. All incentives can be tailored to customers’ individual circumstances and are subject to availability, with further information available from the Sales Executive.

Silverstone is best known for Silverstone Circuit, which is the home of the British Grand Prix and lies just over a mile from the village to the south. Away from the excitement of the annual Formula 1 event, it is a peaceful rural community ideal for those in search of a comfortable, laid-back lifestyle.

Towcester, famous for its racecourse, is just three miles away and offers a range of independent and national shops including a Waitrose and Tesco, while the major shopping centre of Milton Keynes is just 16 miles from the new homes, putting the thecentre:mk shopping centre, with 300 shops under half a mile of glass within easy reach.
