The David Stanley Redfern Ltd sales team has revealed that Albania is the most popular location with investors in 2008 so far.

At April's NATO meeting in Bucharest, U.S./Russia relations caught the international spotlight, but property investors should have been watching the other news. NATO extended a full invitation to Albania and Croatia to join the fold.

Albania has been likened to the emerging market of Bulgaria some three or four years ago. The country is at the very cusp of a property boom.

Enjoying the same dramatic coastline as Montenegro and Croatia, and languishing less than sixty miles from the Italian coast, Albania has previously been overlooked by the investor spotlight in favour of its headline grabbing neighbours.
