Ford has again been confirmed as the industry favourite by winning Fleet Manufacturer of the Year at the 2008 Fleet World awards, repeating last year's success. Honours also went to the new Ford Kuga crossover and to the Ford S-MAX.

Figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) show that Ford's total vehicle sales in April were up by 242 units for the month compared with 2007, although, in a stronger April market, share dipped 0.5 per cent to 15.5 per cent.
