Infiniti Europe has announced that the dramatic V8-powered Infiniti FX50, revealed at the recent Geneva Motor Show, will be joined at launch by a V6 version with 320PS to be called FX37.

Twenty years after its US launch, Infiniti has gone live in Europe. It's been a long journey for the brand, which was launched in America in 1988 as Nissan's answer to Toyota's Lexus.

Already a strong contender in the United States and other global markets, the Infiniti FX performance luxury crossover SUV takes on Western Europe with an all-new, second-generation design featuring a newly developed 5.0-liter V8, 7-speed automatic transmission, enhanced exterior styling, advanced interior design and innovative technology and safety equipment.
Infiniti have revealed the all-new 2009 Infiniti FX performance luxury crossover SUV in conjunction with the Geneva Motor Show. The second-generation FX, with its fusion of sports car and SUV design, will be offered in three models, including a new 5.0-liter V8-equipped Infiniti FX50.

Infiniti and its range of performance sedans, coupes and crossovers has been in existence for almost 20 years. 2008 and the 78th International Geneva Motor Show marks the brand’s introduction into Western Europe, the toughest luxury market in the world.

The all-new 2008 Infiniti EX coupe crossover, revealed this week at the 2007 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, will form part of a four model premium range that will be launched across Europe starting from Autumn 2008.
