Lamborghini has announced record sales figures for 2007, building and selling 2,406 cars worldwide: a 15% increase over the 2,087 cars delivered in 2006. A particularly strong sales increase of nearly 40% was recorded in the UK, with deliveries of 211 vehicles.

After strong sales and profit growth during the previous years, Automobili Lamborghini is heading for another record year in 2007. Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, has announced at Tokyo Motor Show that all the key indicators from the House of the Bull will show a strong results increase once more.

To celebrate Christmas Lamborghini-style, the Italian super sports car manufacturer has produced a pack of limited edition Christmas tree baubles.

The weight/power ratio of the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera is only 2.5 kg/hp, putting it in the top lightweights of its class.
