With the overall title Porsche Carrera Cup GB settled in favour of Damien Faulkner at Brands Hatch last time out, this weekend's final Porsche Carrera Cup GB races of the season at Silverstone (14/15 October) will be all about winning races, rather than thinking about championship points.

While Danny Watts took two impressive race wins in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Brands Hatch over the weekend (23/24 September), Damien Faulkner clinched the overall drivers' title and Phil Quaife secured the Pro-Am category crown.

Porsche will present four new models at the Paris Motor Show “Mondial de l’Automobile” (September 30 – October 15). The 911 Targa 4 (and 4S), the 911 GT3 RS, the Cayman and the Boxster (and Boxster S) with new engines will be making their debuts.

The all-action Indy circuit at Brands Hatch (Kent) is the setting for rounds 17 and 18 of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB this weekend and, in addition to Shane Lynch making his Porsche Carrera Cup debut, the overall title battle could also be resolved during what is the penultimate weekend of the season.

Damien Faulkner and Tim Harvey scored a race win each as tricky weather conditions hit rounds 15 and 16 of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Knockhill in Scotland over the weekend (2/3 September). A win and a second place for Faulkner has left him 41 points clear in the title chase with four races to run. Meanwhile, 1995 World Rally Champion and Scottish motorsporting hero, Colin McRae, enjoyed mixed fortunes on his Carrera Cup debut.

Porsche Carrera Cup GB racer Phil Quaife (Tonbridge) will take his Motorbase Performance Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car on to the streets of Edinburgh on the evening of Thursday 31 August.

The unique Knockhill track in Scotland is the spectacular setting for rounds 15 and 16 of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB over the weekend of 2/3 September.
Colin McRae will race in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Knockhill over the weekend of 2/3 September. The former World Rally Champion will drive the car entered by Porsche Cars GB in association with Vertu, the world’s first and only manufacturer of luxury handcrafted mobile phones, at his home track during the British Touring Car Championship meeting.

Danny Watts stormed to a fine double victory in rounds 11 and 12 of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Donington Park over the weekend (29/30 July). Meanwhile, title contenders Damien Faulkner and Tim Harvey each took a second and a third place to keep their championship contest very evenly matched.

The Manthey Racing team from Germany will run two brand new Porsche 911 GT3 RSR race cars in the 24 hour race at Spa in Belgium on 29 July. Porsche developed the near-standard racing sportscar based on the road-going 911 GT3 RS, and put it in the hands of the experienced team under the direction of team principal Olaf Manthey. Works drivers Timo Bernhard and Marc Lieb (both from Germany) share driving duties with Pedro Lamy from Portugal in the GT3 RSR with starting number ‘111’. Driving the Porsche with starting number ‘197’ are further ‘works’ drivers Lucas Luhr (Monaco), Sascha Maassen (Belgium) with Marcel Tiemann (Monaco).
