Actor Nathaniel Parker has launched Renault Retail Group’s campaign to send a Christmas message to vulnerable children and raise £10,000 for Barnardo’s.

The Renault Group increased worldwide sales by 15.5% in November 2007 to 214,028 vehicles (car and LCV), compared with November 2006.

In October 2007, the Renault Group posted a 5.8% increase in sales (Car and LCV) compared with October 2006. All three brands contributed to the worldwide sales total of 219,411 vehicles, with increases of 4.6% for Renault, 19.1% for Dacia and 4.5% for Renault Samsung Motors.

A record number of UK motorsport fans ensured September’s World Series by Renault spectacular at Donington Park was the world’s biggest Renault Sport event of 2007. A crowd of 135,000 smashed the previous best set in 2006 and was bigger than every other World Series by Renault meeting this season, also placing it behind only the British Grand Prix in terms of crowd size.

As the biggest market for Renaultsport cars, the UK’s love affair with the ever-popular hot hatch is set to increase even further as Renault throws down the gauntlet to its rivals with ordering now open for the eagerly-awaited Clio Renaultsport 197 Cup, priced at just £14,995 - £1,000 less than the standard version.
