Seat News
Seat is turning its attention to the silver screen this summer, as it sponsors the inaugural Ibiza and Formentera International Film Festival, which runs from 29th May to 7th June.

Watch out silver – buyers are going back to black! Last year, ubiquitous silver lost some of its sheen with new car buyers, while black jumped from third to second most popular colour choice. Riding on the crest of this enthusiastic wave for arguably the coolest paint option, SEAT has launched a menacing new version of its Toledo, available in one colour only. And it’s not silver.
Seat is continuing to increase its UK sales, with a fantastic first quarter performance sustaining the momentum of 2006. Last year, the Spanish brand’s sales increased from 28,431 (in 2005) to 32,839, in a market down by 3.9%.

Seat injected a big dose of ‘auto emoción’ into the Geneva Motor Show this week when pop songstress Shakira made an appearance on the Spanish car maker’s stand, along with Erich Schmitt, President of SEAT S.A. The rest of the show practically emptied as a huge crowd assembled around the SEAT stand.

Seat is tantalising those visiting its Geneva Motor Show stand this year with a dramatic concept that points the way to a future production car: the Altea Freetrack Prototype. Far from being a mere styling exercise for the Technical Centre in Martorell, the concept gives a preview of the design and technological innovations of the Altea Freetrack, destined to arrive in the near future.

Seat Dealers across the UK are getting ready this weekend to welcome the brand’s most powerful production car to date, as the exciting new Leon Cupra goes on sale from Friday 2nd March.

Glamorous ‘Hips-Don’t-Lie’ pop star, Shakira, has helped SEAT design a unique Leon Cupra as a competition prize, in order to raise money for her own charity.

The new SEAT Altea XL has touched down in UK showrooms, offering vast luggage space (the largest in its class, in fact), superb value and typically sporty SEAT dynamics.

SEAT returns to Autosport International this week in style, with a lively stand that will show off both its sporty road cars and its racing Leons. In addition, the highly anticipated driver line-up for this year’s SEAT BTCC team will be made public.

It’s always a great achievement for any car maker to increase sales and market share – but especially so when the majority of other manufacturers’ results have done just the opposite.

If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to get a great deal on a stylish new car, look no further. SEAT, the young and vibrant car maker, is adding plenty of extra value to selected models across its range, in addition to offering some attractive Hire Purchase and PCP plans. The showroom bonanza is all part of SEAT’s ‘Think Differently’ campaign, which will run for the whole of January 2007 at participating Dealers.

Shakira, one of the most globally successful pop stars of today, and winner of several worldwide awards – Grammy, Latin Grammy, MTV, European MTV, Latin MTV Billboard, American Music Awards, and Echos – has chosen SEAT, the Spanish automotive brand, as the main sponsor of her 2007 Shakira Oral Fixation European Tour. The three-month long tour will start on 25th January in Hamburg, Germany, travelling through more than 10 European countries.

SEAT is extending the sizzling summer into November and December with a pair of hot deals on its best-selling models. Both the popular Leon T FSI FR and the entire Ibiza range benefit from enticing offers that run for the rest of the year.

Not content with winning the Dunlop MSA BTCC Manufacturers’ Championship this year, SEAT is proving its sporty credentials yet again, with the availability of the advanced DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) on petrol FR versions of both the Leon and Altea.

SEAT has revealed the UK price for what is arguably the most eagerly awaited hot hatch of 2007 – the new Leon Cupra. And at just £19,595 RRP on the road for 240 PS worth of energetic performance, it is set to create quite a stir when it arrives in the UK next March.
