W W Truck and Bus Ltd. - trading as Wales and West Truck and Bus - are the new, independent Volvo truck and bus and Nissan LCV Dealer Group serving South and South-East Wales and parts of the West Country.

Pontrilas Timber, based in the village of Pontrilas, Herefordshire, have taken delivery of their first-ever Volvo trucks. The highly respected and well-known Herefordshire company has been family-owned and run since 1947.

Volvo Trucks’ deliveries during July amounted to 8,092 vehicles, up 14% compared with the year-earlier period. The increase is attributable to a high pace of deliveries to South America, Asia and Eastern Europe.

The Volvo Group has now finalized the deal with Eicher Motors for the establishment of a new Indian joint-venture company, VE Commercial Vehicles Limited.

W J Roadmarkings Ltd. of Stoke-on-Trent has taken delivery of a Volvo FM-420 eight-wheeler equipped with the UK’s first Hydroblaster high-pressure, water jetting body, which will be used to remove white lines from roads and aircraft tyre deposits from airport runways.

At the heart of Volvo Trucks’ stand at this year’s IAA Show in Hannover, Germany (25th Sept – 2nd Oct 2008) will be the new range of Volvo trucks. Here, for the first time outside Sweden, the general public will be able to experience the new trucks, both inside and out.
