Nottingham City Homes is now taking delivery of more than 300 Citroen Dispatch and Relay LCVs, replacing its entire existing mixed vehicle fleet. Trafford Council in Manchester is now taking delivery of 56 new Citroen commercial vehicles, which have been supplied as part of a 10-year contract with local authority fleet management specialist provider, TransLinc.

Integra Utility Services is now putting 11 new Citroen Relay 35 L3H2 160 vans into service. The new Relays are specified with the 3.0HDi 160hp engine to suit them for use with Integra’s external metering teams, an operation which involves towing 2.0 tonne gross plant trailers.

Citroen has announced first details of its new, expanded Dispatch range, which is set to go on sale in the UK in early 2007. The new Dispatch, known as Jumpy in other markets, is designed to appeal to a broader customer base and replaces the current model that was launched in late 1996.

The new Citroen Relay, which goes on sale in the UK on 19 October, represents a major advance for both the company and its customers. As part of a multi-agency programme, Her Majesty’s Courts Service (HMCS) has just ordered 21 specially modified Citroen Dispatch 2.0HDi Combi 6 vehicles, capable of carrying a number of Court Enforcement Officers, together with up to two offenders in a secure cell unit. Citroen and Kinetic Special Vehicles Ltd have worked closely with HMCS to develop the specification for these vehicles, which are also fitted with air conditioning.

Majestic Wine Warehouses Ltd has just taken delivery of its 500th Citroen light commercial vehicle. The company, the UK’s largest retailer specialising in the sales of wine by the mixed case, is a long-established Citroen commercial vehicle operator, starting some 16 years ago with C15 vans.
Citroen’s innovative Super September offers package is designed to maintain the company’s strong 2006 sales performance in a very competitive UK light commercial vehicle market. Citroen’s first 35 Berlingo 2.0HDi 600 XTR+ enhanced traction vans are now being delivered to the Forestry Commission. The XTR+ vans are being operated by the Forestry Commission’s Mechanical Engineering Services business unit and are part of a major order for some 100 Citroen Berlingos, which also includes 2.0HDi vans in LX and Enterprise trim.

Citroen’s popular Berlingo range has now been further expanded with the launch of the enhanced traction Berlingo 2.0HDi 600 XTR+, making it even easier for customers to choose the optimum vehicle specification for each individual application.
Thanks to strong sales performances in the first four months of 2006 by all models in its four-strong range, Citroen has continued to hold its position as the third largest supplier of vehicles in the up to 3.5 tonne gvw sector, while at the same time increasing its market share.
