3rd October 2007 Print
Michelle McManus The wait is over. On the 5th November 2007 Michelle McManus is releasing her new single, ‘Just for You’. The Scottish singer, who millions voted for when she won Pop Idol, has co-written the song and will release it through her own label - McManii Records - ahead of the 2008 release of her new album, ‘Dancing To A Different Beat’.

“I love 80s’ dance music”, says Michelle, “in particular the electro sound, and ‘Just For You’ is my personal homage to the Friday night club scene and a celebration of being single”.

On sale as a digital download, ‘Just For You’ will be available via Michelle’s website – Michelleoffical.co.uk and can be accessed from various sites such as iTunes, Napster, HMV, Tesco, eMusic, Tunetribe, Juno and 7Digital.

“I am delighted to be releasing a track that I have played a huge part in creating. I have especially enjoyed co-writing ‘Just For You’ and others on my forthcoming album. Creating music should be as enjoyable as listening to it!”

Michelle’s first single, ‘All This Time’, released 12th January 2004, was number 1 for three weeks and was the second biggest selling British single of 2004 (Band Aid being number 1). Michelle was the first Scottish female to debut at number 1 and ‘All This Time’ was nominated for an Ivor Novello Award in 2004. Her album ‘The Meaning of Love’ released in February 2004 was also hugely successful.
