Top British models confirmed for Vintage Fly-In and Air Display A number of top British models are now confirmed to attend the 2008 Goodwood Aero Club Vintage Fly-In and Air Display, being held over the May Bank Holiday weekend of Sunday 25 and Monday 26 May.

The sheer size of these models will be something to behold. Amongst the model aircraft confirmed to attend the beautiful West Sussex aerodrome are a seven-metre span ASK21 glider powered by a gas turbine engine, as well as a 17 foot wingspan B17 Flying Fortress, and a 1/3 scale Spitfire model of the well known Carolyn Grace aircraft, itself once based at Goodwood.

The models will add an exiting element to what is becoming a popular aviation event. As well as remote control flying demonstrations; there will also be a large static display of model aircraft. In addition, budding future model pilots will be able to try their hand at flying on one of two realistic simulators, and model trade stands will be on hand for those who are tempted to hone their flying skills for real. This additional attraction should certainly prove to be popular with family members of all ages.
