Marrakech
Marrakech is known for it’s warm, sunny climate, amazing crafts and arts, relaxed way of life and it proximity to all the major European cities (London, Paris and Milan are all 3 hours away by plane) Barely 7 km away from the central medina on one of the main routes into the city a new suburb of luxury houses and apartments is springing up. With unparalleled views of the snow capped Atlas Mountains and surrounded by greenery and olive groves this new development marries the best of both worlds.
Marrakesh is truly the city of entertainment in Morocco. In the center of Marrakesh is a square, Djemaa el fna, which is the operating point for entertainers like acrobats, drummers, dancers, pipe musicians, comedians and storytellers. There's plenty of choice for meals, including the spectacle of the Djemaa el Fna food stalls, many inexpensive cafe-restaurants and a number of up market palace-restaurants, which offer Morocco's traditional cuisine at its very best.
Marrakesh is Morocco's second largest city and its population continues to rise. It has a prosperous industrial area and is the most significant market and organizational centre of Southern Morocco. Marrakesh is not a place of many historical monuments and buildings, but its beauty lies in the atmosphere and the spectacular location. Marrakesh with the outstanding peaks of the Atlas expanding behind the city has very warm humid summers and shimmering white snowy winters. Marrakshis are well-known for their warmth and sociability, their humor and honesty.
Marrakech property and tourism
Morocco is serious about tourism as the country’s primary export for the future. The Moroccan Government has embarked on a national tourism strategy that aims to increase the number of foreign visitors from 2.2 million currently to 10 million by 2010. Under “Vision 2010”, the Moroccan Government has guaranteed to provide the necessary infrastructure to connect coastal resorts with the rest of the country and Europe by constructing 1,000 kms of new roads, increasing internal and international flights, and developing new regional airports. Morocco now has an ‘Open Skies’ flying agreement with the EU which means that cheap European flights are now available. As a result, the property market in Morocco is just starting to boom and provides an outstanding investment opportunity.
A vast move towards urbanisation is underway in the fast developing Red City and the Residence ADAMA project fits perfectly into this market. As it grows and focuses particularly on family holidays, the city is increasingly part of the European market, whilst still retaining the soul of its Medina and local craft industries.
The Development
The Route d’Amizmiz highway, also referred to as Route du Barrage, is the Red City’s only oasis, located along the main route between Marrakech and the Lake TAKERKOUST 21 miles) away.
